The Burning Question (1936) aka Tell Your Children aka Reefer Madness

“The motion picture you are about to witness may startle you.
It would not have been possible, otherwise, to sufficiently emphasize the frightful toll of the new drug menace which is destroying the youth of America in alarmingly-increasing numbers.
Marihuana is that drug – a violent narcotic – an unspeakable scourge – The Real Public Enemy Number One!
Its first effect is sudden, violent, uncontrollable laughter; then come dangerous hallucinations – space expands – time slows down, almost stands still ….fixed ideas come next, conjuring up monstrous extravagances – followed by emotional disturbances, the total inability to direct thoughts, the loss of all power to resist physical emotions… leading finally to acts of shocking violence… ending often in incurable insanity.
In picturing its soul-destroying effects no attempt was made to equivocate. The scenes and incidents, while fictionized for the purposes of this story, are based upon actual research into the results of Marihuana addiction.
If their stark reality will make you think, will make you aware that something must be done to wipe out this ghastly menace, then the picture will not have failed in its purpose….
Because the dread Marihuana may be reaching forth next for your son or daughter….or yours….or YOURS!”

Rinse Dream aka Stephen Sayadian

Stephen Sayadian, also known as Rinse Dream is a writer, production-designer and director active in the 1980s and early 1990s. He began his career as a creative director for Larry Flynt Publications. His satirical and bizarre style was instrumental in the development and success of Hustler Magazine. He is best known for his stylish, surrealistic, and off-kilter approach to videos and films such as Café Flesh, Nightdreams parts 1,2,3, and Party-Doll-A-Go-Go parts 1,2. His work is now considered highly innovative and ahead of its time, in many ways anticipating the later wave of alt porn that emerged in the early 2000s. Café Flesh, in particular, stands out for its strong production values and detailed plot, elements rarely seen in adult films. The film was a crossover hit on the midnight-movie circuit for many years. He also directed the 1989 cult movie Dr. Caligari, a remake of the 1919 silent classic. The film premiered as an opening night selection (midnight madness) at the Toronto Film Festival. In addition to film and video, he’s also designed and directed for television and the legitimate stage. His print work has appeared in many publications including Zoom.” – Wiki
