Celebrating an Enduring Partnership

Lockheed Martin has had a footprint in the United Arab Emirates for almost 50 years. Operating a diversified portfolio in defense, advanced technology and knowledge transfer programs, we partner with the UAE for security and prosperity.

A lot has changed in the Middle East over the past few decades, and through it all Lockheed Martin has proudly stood with the UAE.

Find out how we’re helping protect generations to come and helping to realize the UAE’s human capital development goals.

Contributing to Community

We play an active role in helping to strengthen the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. Our community outreach efforts in the UAE primarily support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, and research and development.

Center For Innovation And Security Solutions (CISS)

Located at Masdar City, the Center for Innovation and Security Solutions (CISS) has incubated defense, security and technology related solutions since 2014. The multi-purpose facility provides access to Lockheed Martin’s extensive network of laboratories, research facilities and centers of excellence around the world.

The CISS has implemented a series of technology development programs for Emirati engineers and industry professionals - from the first UAE Cyber Security Challenge to advanced concepts in scenario and flight simulation.

UAE-designed AI Inspection Capability on Aircraft Programs

A group of UAE students interning at Lockheed Martin in Masdar City, collectively spent 1,200 hours building and testing an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to detect paint and primer defects on jet airframes.

This project turned into a real-world engineering breakthrough and the interns recently got confirmation that their creation is being used by Lockheed Martin in the United States.

Lockheed Martin interns demonstrated the AI solution for enhanced aircraft inspection at the 15th edition of the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), which took place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in February 2021.

Innovation, Collaboration, Performance

From the F-16 Desert Falcon to Black Hawk, we partner with the United Arab Emirates on a variety of crucial defence and security programs.
